    • According to his South Carolina Death Certificate # 53-012929 (29 Oct 1953), James was a retired boilermaker who had worked at the Navy Yard, Charleston S.C. His father was James H. Meynardie; his mother, Margaret Almers; his wife, Mary E. Yingling. He was interred 25 Oct 1953 in "Westminister [sic] Cemetery", MD.

      "James W. Meynardie, of Pinecrest Gardens, died yesterday at his residence.
      "Funeral services will be held ... tomorrow afternoon.... Burial will be in Westminster, Md.
      "Mr. Meynardie was born March 4, 1892, in Charleston, a son of James H. Meynardie and Mrs. Margaret Almers Meynardie. He was educated in the schools of Charleston and was a member of St. John's Protestant Episcopal Church.
      "A retired boilermaker, Mr. Meynardie was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Shipbuilders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers of America Local 50.
      "Surviving are the widow, the former Miss Mary E. Yingling of Westminster, Md.; a daugher, Mrs. Mattie Moore of Charleston; three sons, Carl E. and Albert H. Meynardie of Charleston, and the Rev. Robert E. Meynardie of Tokyo, Japan; three sisters, Mrs. G. A. Anderson of Pinecrest, Mrs. Thomas Rauth of Naval Base and Mrs. Jennie Rourke of Philadelphia; eight grandhilcren and a number of nieces and nephews."
