    • According to Gervaise Dynes-Wolak, Robert served in the US Army during WW II, between 7 July 1943 and 8 Apr 1946. After he returned from the war he contracted polio. He was the owner of Columbine Beverage Co., Denver, CO.

      ROBERT DYNES
      Robert Anthony Dynes, 79, of Ponte Vedra Beach, died peacefully Dec. 19, 2004, at Kindred Northwest Hospital in Houston. Mr. Dynes was born Aug. 26, 1925, in Rehoboth, Mass.
      He was a graduate of Harvard Business School and served in the Army during World War II in the 82nd Airborne. He worked for IBM and Xerox before embarking on entrepreneurial ventures. He reitred from his company, Columbine Beverage, in 1976 and moved to Ponte Vedra Beach, FL in 1980.
      He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gervaise Helen (Belling) Dynes; daughter Gervaise Dynes-Wolak; sons, Robert S. Dynes and Peter G. Dynes; and three grandchildren, Joshua R. Dynes, Robert A. Dynes III and Gervaise M. Wolak.
      The family is honoring his wishes not have any memorial services and to distribute his ashes on his ranch, Big D, in Encampment, Wyo.
      In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Dynes' memory to the Jacksonville Humane Society, 8464 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, 32216.
