      "Richard E. "Jake" Jacobs, 67... died Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, in Mercy Medical Center after a short illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday [16 Sep], All Saints Catholic Church.... Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites....
      "Survivors include his wife, Ginny; two sons, Mark and wife Gina of Ely and Matt and wife Pam of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Ann Woodard and husband Michael of Seattle and Julie Frieden and husband Jeff of Cedar Rapids; a brother, John of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Trudy Cohrs of Alexandria, Va., and Mary Bracey of Holmes Beach, Fla. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Shannon, Chelsea, Dylan, and Kaitlin Jacobs, Matt Wedler, Henry and Tate Woodard and Courtney, Sara and Vanessa Frieden.
      "He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Margaret Raher.
      "Jake was born July 31, 1933, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Gertrude Seabrooke Jacobs. He married Mary V. "Ginny" Groves on June 9, 1956, in Cedar Rapids. Jake worked in sales at KCRG for 16 years, at KHAK for several years and for the last 10 years he had been employed at Cedar Memorial. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and golf and served in the Army during the Korean War....
