    • Vol. 9, MARYLAND GERMAN CHURCH RECORDS, pp. 19, 20 (C.T. Zahn & F.S. Weiser, eds: 1993), restating records from Krider's or St. Benjamin's Lutheran Church, show that "Johannes and Catharina Diefenbach" (referring to John & Catherine Diffenbach) were sponsors for Salome Artur at her baptism on 25 Jun 1809, and for her brother Ephriam on 11 Sep 1813.

      Michael Baumgardner signed his will 10 July 1823 and it was filed with Frederick County 22 Nov 1830. It "names dau. Catherine Diffenbach, widow of John; dau. Elizabeth, wife of Michael Myerly; and dau. Magdalena, wife of John Schnauffer. Friend Jacob Matthias executor."       "Eve Catharin Diffenbough" is buried in Krider's (St. Benjamin's) Lutheran Church Cemetery, Westminster, MD, in sec. B, row 20, lot 37, next to her husband. Vol. 5, part 1, CARROLL COUNTY CEMETERIES, p. 107 (Carroll County Genealogical Soc'y, Westminster, MD: 1999).

      According to "Old Krider's Cemetery Inscriptions," vol. 16, Carrolltonian, p. 21 (1996), the tombstone states:
      "In memory of | Eve Catharine | Diffenbough | who was born Sept. | 22nd 1766 and | departed this life | April 26th 1842 | Aged 75 years 7 | months & 4 days."
