    • The 1925 Iowa State Census shows the Jacobs family, consisting of her father John J., 35; his wife Gertrude, 33; and children: Mary Louise, 6; John Joseph, 3; and Margaret M, 1. 1925 Iowa State Census, Iowa State Historical Society; via Iowa State Census Collection, 1836-1925, www.Ancestry.com (accessed Mar 2009).

Obituary, Cedar Rapids [IA] Gazette (10 Sep 1991):
"MARGARET JACOBS RAHER, 66, ... died Friday [6 Sep] in her home peacefully, comforted by her dear friend, Mary Martin....
"Survivors include two sons, Thomas and daughter-in-law Christine, and Casey and daughter-in-law Colleen; and a daughter, Ellen, all of San Francisco, Calif. Unfortunately she lost her son Steven in 1972. She also is survived by two sisters, Gertrude Cohrs of Alexandria, Va., and Mary Louise Bracey of Milwaukee, Wis.; two brothers, Dick and John Jacobs, both of Cedar Rapids; and four grandsons, Ramsey, Cassidy, Brendan and the latest addition, Drew Raher, all of San Francisco.
"She was born Dec. 22, 1924, in Cedar Rapids to the proud parents, John and Gertrude Jacobs. Margaret was an interior designer and worked for many years at Phelans and recently retired from Klinger Paint Co. She attended Coe College and was a longstanding member of Tri Delta Sorority. Her parish of St. Matthew's, where she was active, was a source of joy and camaraderie. She helped many Cedar Rapidians as a volunteer of the Mercy Auxiliary. She will be sorley missed by her bridge clubs and the void will be impossible to fill. She inspired many homemakers by her wizardry of interior design, and her effervescent personality and sunshine smile will be the cornerstone of our cherished memories...."
