    • In 1910 his father Henry M. Hanna, 56, lived with his wife of 14 years, "Meda," 44, and their two sons: William, 11; and John 4. Henry and the two boys were born in Iowa; Hanna ("Meda") was born in PA. 1910 U.S. Census, Tipton, Cedar Cnty, IA (T 624, Roll 395, stamped p. 39).
    • The Social Security Death Index provides that William Hanna (SSN 479-05-5930; issued by Iowa) was born 20 May 1898 and died in Sep 1965.
    • Obituary, The Cedar Rapids [IA] Gazette, p. 3 (23 Sep 1965):

      "William M. Hanna, 4101 Sixteenth avenue SW, Cedar Rapids resident 50 years and a retired employe of Troy Laundry Co., died Thursday [sic; Tuesday, 21 Sep]. He was born May 20, 1898, near Tipton. His wife, Marcella, preceded him in death in 1958. He was a veteran of World war I [and served in France with the A.E.F.].
      "Surviving is a brother, John Hanna, of Iowa City.
      "Memorial services: Turner chapel at noon Friday [24 Sep].... Graveside services: 1:30 p.m. at the Masonic cemetery in Tipton...."
