    • The 1910 census shows Helen as the 3-yr old daughter of William and Florence Campbell, living at home with her parents and siblings. 1910 U.S.Census, Kendall twsp, Kendall Cnty, IL (T 624, roll 295, stamped p. 234). The 1920 census lists Helen as a 13-yr old daughter living at home with her parents and 6 siblings. 1920 U.S.Census, Kendall twsp, Kendall Cnty, IL (T 625, Roll 380, stamped p. 42).

      "RINK - CAMPBELL
      "The marriage of Miss Helen Irene Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Campbell of Yorkville, to Russell H. Rink, son of Mrs. Jean Rink of Oswego, took place Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. *** The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. E. W. Wheeler of Aurora. Robert Campbell, brother of the bride, acted as best man. Miss Bernice [sic] Campbell, sister of the bride, played the Mendelssohn wedding march. *** Mrs. Rink is a graduate of the Yorkville high school. Mr. Rink is engaged in farming at Oswego."

      The Kendall County [IL] Record (12 July 1933) reports: "Miss Alice Johnson and Miss Margaret Croushorn of Aurora,... Mr. and Mrs. Will Croushorn of New Lenox, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rink, Mr. and Mrs. Elnathan Wheeler and daughters and P. E. Croushorn of Aurora enjoyed a picnic dinner at the William Campbell home on Sunday [9 July]."

      Helen's death was noticed in The Beacon News [Aurora, IL], p. A2 (20 Sep 2000).

      Obituary, The Beacon News [Aurora, IL] ( ? Sep 2000):
      "Helen I. (Campbell) Rink, 93, of Oswego, was called to be with her compassionate Lord early Monday morning, September 18, 2000, at her home.
      "Helen was born November 11, 1906, the third of eight children of William and Florence (Croushorn) Campbell of Yorkville. She graduated from Yorkville High School and Illinois State Teachers College. On September 1, 1927, Helen was united in marriage to Russell H. Rink of Oswego. The couple returned to the Rink homestead where they would farm together for the next six decades, and where she spent the remainder of her life. She taught in rural Kendall County schools in the years prior to the birth of their children, Roger and Janice.
      "Helen was a member of the Oswego Presbyterian Church, where she had been active for many years in the Dorcas Circle. She was also a long time member of the Nineteenth Century Ladies Club until failing eyesight limited her mobility. Helen served as an election judge in her local precinct for many years, as well.
      "Among her many talents were, gardening and baking, both of which brought her great pleasure. Her family, friends and neighbors were often grateful recipients of her sharing and generosity.
      "Helen was a friend to many and will be deeply missed by those surviving her, including her children, Roger (Nancy) Rink of Oswego, and Janice (Earl) Herrmann of Montrose, CO; three grand-daughters, Becky (Tim) Dhuse, of North Aurora, Denise (Carl) Cook of Grand Junction, CO., and Jodi (David) Balfanz of Littleton, CO, and her two great-grandchildren, Christopher Dhuse and Breanna Cook. She is also survived by one brother, Don Campbell of Aurora, as well as many nieces and nephews.
      "She looked forward to a reunion in Heaven with those proceeding her, especially her husband of 71 years, Russell Rink, who passed away on March 5, 1999, one grandchild, her parents and seven siblings.
      Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 PM. on Thursday, September 21, 2000 at Dieterle Memorial Home with the funeral immediately following ... with interment at Lincoln Memorial Park....." (See www.Findagrave.com.)
