    • The 1870 census lists Charles as a 4 month old boy, born in Ohio, living with his parents George and Mary, and siblings William, 18; Rosetta, 16; Michael, 13; Joseph, 10; and Franklin, 3. «i» 1870 U.S. Census«/i», Perry twsp, Franklin Cnty, OH (M 593, Roll 1200, stamped p. 682).

      The 1880 census lists Charles' father George, 59, a laborer born in MD, living with his wife Mary, 47, also born in MD, and 4 children: Michael, a laborer, 22; Joseph, a laborer, 20; Charles, 12 [sic]; and Howard, 5. «i» 1880 U.S. Census«/i», Perry twsp, Franklin Cnty, OH (T 9, Roll 1015, stamped p. 170)[LDS Film 1255015].

      The 1910 census lists Charles A., 40, working as a "laborer, Rail Road," and living with his wife of 7 years, "Clara M," 38, and his widowed mother Mary A. Warner, 79. Two houses away lived his brother Howard C. Warner and his family, and 4 houses away in the other direction lived his first cousin Marion Snouffer and his family.«i» 1910 U.S. Census«/i», Perry twsp, Franklin Cnty, OH (T 624, Roll 1183, stamped p. 204).

      According to his 1952 Ohio Death Certificate # 51603, Charles was a farm laborer and a church caretaker. This information was provided by the "informant," his wife Clara.
