    • Anna was previously married to a man named Rogers; thus her marriage certificate to Alva T. Snouffer lists her name as Anna J. Rogers.

      The 1900 census lists Anna J, 57 yrs old, born in Oct 1842 [sic] in Ohio, living with her husband of 16 years, Alva Snouffer, and their son "Earnest A," 14. The census indicates that Anna had borne another child who was deceased. 1900 U.S. Census, Perry twsp, Franklin Cnty, OH (T 623, Roll 1270, stamped p. 184).

      The 1910 census lists "Anna J" Snouffer, 69, living with her husband "Alva T," a painter, doing "Gen. Work," states that they had been married 26 years, and indicates that they own their own house. The census shows that both were born in Ohio; that his parents were born in Maryland, and that hers were born in Ohio. 1910 U.S. Census, Perry twsp, Franklin Cnty, OH (T 624, Roll 1183, stamped p. 205).

      Anna's death certificate (Ohio Bureau of Vital Statistics, File # 64586 [22 Oct 1917]) indicates (via her son Ernest), a birth date of 12 Oct 1840, death date of 20 Oct 1917, and burial place of "Dublin, Ohio" on 23 Oct 1917. It does state that her father was Henry Andrews and her mother was Martha B. White.
