    • According to the Montgomery County [MD] Sentinel, p. 3 (10 Mar 1893), "The Potomac Literary Society met on the 1st inst., at the home of Darius Clagett. The names mentioned are ... Archie Aisquith, Jr., ...." John D. Bowman, Guide to Selections from the Montgomery County [MD] Sentinel, 1893-1896, p. 13 (2007).

      The Sentinel reported, p. 3 (19 Jan 1894): "The Dawsonville Literary Society met at 'Woodlawn', the home of Judge [Lawrence] Darby, on last Thursday. The names mentioned are *** Archie Aisquith, ***." Bowman, Guide ... 1893-1896, p. 47.

      Nearly 2 years later the Sentinel noted, p. 3 (27 Dec 1895): "Archie H. Aisquith, of Gaithersburg, has secured a job with the railway postal service." Bowman, Guide ... 1893-1896, p. 149.

      The 1920 census lists "Antin H Asquith," 51, b. in W. Va, who was a real estate agent, living with his wife Nancy H Asquith, 46, born in MD. 1920 U.S. Census, Ward 4, Lakewood, Cuyahoga, OH (T 625, Roll 1376, stamped p. 71B).

      The 1930 census lists "Archie" H Asquith, 61, born in Virginia to Virginia-born parents, living with his wife Nancy, 57. Archie was employed as a "cashier, street, city." Also living with them were his sister-in-law Rose Chiswell and her son, his nephew, William; as well as two lodgers. 1930 U.S. Census, Ward 1, Cleveland, Cuyahoga Cnty, OH (T 626, Roll 1762, stamped p. 9A).

      Archie's death certificate (Ohio # 8119-8281 [29 Feb 1932]) indicates that he had been employed as a "Cashier Street Dept[,] City Hall Cleveland" and that he died because of skull injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
