    • The 1910 census lists Guy L Ecker, 37, born in NY, and his wife of 15 years, "Maybelle," 32, born in IL; and their Kansas-born children: Grace L, 12; Ethel L, 5; "Blanche M," 3, and John R, 1. Guy was a farmer. 1910 U.S. Census, Harrison, Wallace Cnty, KS (T 624, Roll 455, stamped p. 158B).

      The 1915 Kansas State Census records the "Eckers" family as follows: G. L. Eckers, 42, a farmer; "May," 37; Grace, 17; Ethel, 10; "Blanch," 8; and John 6. 1915 Kansas State Census, Roll KS1915_251, stamped p. 9).

      The Social Security Death Index provides that Ethel L. Cochran (SSN issued by CO) was born 9 Oct 1904 and died 29 Mar 2009 while living in Wheat Ridge, Jefferson Cnty, CO.

      "COCHRAN, ETHEL L. Passed away March 29, 2009. Ethel was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas H. Cochran; four siblings, Grace Hinton, John Ecker, Blanche Rowley and Guy Ecker; two sons, Thomas H. Cochran Jr. and Richard Cochran. She is survived by her son, Don (Sharon) Cochran; daughter-in-law, Virginia Cochran; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wed., 3-7p.m. at Crown Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service, Thurs, 10a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church. Interment, Crown Hill."
